Jonathon Selway Architects is a forward-thinking architecture practice working on residential and commercial design projects throughout Maryland, Delaware, and the broader Mid-Atlantic Region of the US. The practice is focused on the design of thoughtful and highly detailed buildings and places which are uniquely beautiful, site-sensitive, and responsive to our clients’ goals for the project.
The practice was established by Jonathon Selway, AIA on a breadth of creative work and experience over the last two decades, including many high-end residential and commercial design projects along the coast of Maryland and Delaware. During his prior tenure, Jonathon led several small design teams on noteworthy projects that have been recognized by the American Institute of Architects for design excellence awards.
The design process of the office revolves around a thorough understanding of the clients and their unique needs for the project. Client interaction and engagement throughout ensures a successful project delivery every step of the way. Considerable time and effort goes into the study of the site and surrounding context of each project, creating sympathetic design solutions that respond to opportunities and constraints with environmental consciousness in mind. An emphasis is placed on the experiential quality of every building and space. Design excellence remains a priority of the team throughout the process.

The firm was founded in 2022 by Jonathon Selway, AIA. Jonathon received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Newschool of Architecture and Design, located in San Diego, California. Jonathon is currently licensed to practice architecture in Maryland and Delaware. He has dedicated his career to design excellence with a strong passion for sustainable design and planning that can be seen throughout all of his work.
